Ameryka Łacińska: dzień Wszystkich Świętych
Dzień Wszystkich Świętych często w Ameryce Łacińskiej nazywane jako Święto Zmarłych ma inny charakter w każdym państwie. W porównaniu z Polską bardziej widoczny jest lokalny folklor, zdecydowanie częściej pojawia się też muzyka. Wyjątkowo świętują Meksykanie, gdzie ten dzień jest powodem do celebrowania życia, nawet na cmentarzach. Śmierć przedstawiana jest w postaci kościotrupa przebranego w elegancką suknię i kapelusz i nosi imię Catrina. Jest ona odniesieniem do tamtejszej tradycji dawnych plemion.
