Syria: 23 osoby zginęły w atakach na Wschodnią Gutę
Co najmniej 23 cywilów zginęło w środę podczas ataków lotnictwa rosyjskiego i armii syryjskiej na Wschodnią Gutę, ostatnią enklawę rebeliantów w pobliżu Damaszku – poinformowało Syryjskie Obserwatorium Praw Człowieka.
Jak powiedział szef Obserwatorium Rami Abdel Rahman, 18 cywilów zginęło w ataku rosyjskich sił powietrznych, a pozostali – w wyniku ostrzału prowadzonego z sąsiednich wiosek przez armię syryjską.
Wśród ofiar śmiertelnych jest troje dzieci, 12 kobiet i wolontariusz organizacji niosącej pomoc w rejonach dotkniętych konfliktem. Są też dziesiątki rannych.
Opanowana przez rebeliantów Wschodnia Guta, położona na północny wschód od Damaszku, jest jednym z kilku obszarów wokół syryjskiej stolicy, które są oblężone i odcięte od świata przez siły rządowe. Enklawa jest obecnie pod kontrolą ugrupowania Ahrar asz-Szam, wchodzącego w skład konfederacji Front Islamski, jednoczącej oddziały opozycji syryjskiej.
Pod koniec grudnia organizacja Międzynarodowego Czerwonego Krzyża przeprowadziła ewakuację chorych ze Wschodniej Guty. Sytuacja ok. 400 tys. cywilów zamkniętych w enklawie jest dramatyczna.
