Żona następcy tronu księcia Williama, księżna Cambridge Kate urodziła syna – poinformował Pałac Kensington. Dziecko jest piąte w linii sukcesji do tronu po księciu Karolu, swoim ojcu i rodzeństwie – pięcioletnim George’u i trzyletniej Charlotte.
Imię dziecka zostanie podane opinii publicznej w ciągu najbliższych dni.
Chłopiec urodził się o 11.01 czasu lokalnego (godz. 12.01 czasu polskiego), kilka godzin po tym, jak Kate została przyjęta do szpitala św. Marii w zachodnim Londynie, gdzie w 2013 i 2015 roku przyszły na świat także poprzednie dzieci pary.
